TikTok states ten minutes, which nothing here reaches
The help page states up to ten minutes for a non-Spark video ad, and states that Spark Ads carry no duration restriction. Both figures are far above anything a generated piece in this register reaches, which makes length the wrong column to worry about here. As of 2026-09-12.
| Ad type | Duration rule | What actually binds instead |
|---|---|---|
| Non-Spark video ad | Up to 10 minutes | The file size cap and the shape floors |
| Spark Ads | No duration restriction stated | Whatever the underlying organic post is |
| Either | No minimum stated | Nothing; short pieces are not excluded |
Inclusion rule. Duration statements on the platform's own video ad specifications page, separated by ad type. Generator output limits are on a separate axis and are not mixed in here. Order. As the help page orders the ad types.
1A ceiling this high moves the constraint elsewhere
The longest single generation in this register belongs to a presenter product and is measured in minutes; every prompt-driven row is measured in tens of seconds. Against ten minutes, none of them is limited by the placement at all.
So the interesting columns for this surface are shape and file. It publishes three shapes with pixel floors under each, a size cap and a bitrate floor, which is almost the reverse of the other surface these sheets read, where nearly everything published is about time.
2Spark Ads state no restriction at all
A Spark Ad runs from an existing organic post, so the specification points at something already published rather than at a file being delivered. That is why the page states no duration rule and a shorter list of containers for it.
For generated creative the route changes what has to be true. The piece has to work as an organic post first, which is a content judgement no spec column carries, and the file rules that apply are the ones the posting flow enforces rather than the ones on this page.
3No minimum, which is worth stating for generated work
The page sets no floor. A one second insert or a six second fixed-length piece is acceptable on its face, which matters because several rows in this register cannot produce anything longer than a few seconds in one call.
Combined with the high ceiling, this surface imposes no length arithmetic at all. Every generations-needed figure on these sheets for this platform is one, and the join count that dominates the other surface's planning does not arise.
4A generator's ad pipeline
For ad work around “TikTok — duration”, SceneMixer's pages explain how its ad projects are produced:
A serialized vertical-video show (typically 60–120 seconds per episode, 9:16) where the cast, scenes, and footage are AI-generated.

Sixty to a hundred and twenty seconds is the working band for vertical short drama, and the outline paces for it.

Inclusion rule. The two surfaces this register reads, carrying what each one's own help page states in this column. Generator limits are on a separate axis and are never folded in. Order. Alphabetical by surface name.
