Ad placement specs against what generators output

Fitting Pika output into YouTube ad formats

Pika (pika.art) prices durations as steps: 5 and 10 seconds for text-to-video and image-to-video, reaching 20 to 25 seconds through Pikaframes. A bumper is one generation; a 60 second non-skippable is six or more. As of 2026-09-12.

2Duration is a priced step, not a free parameter

The pricing table lists duration as a column with its own credit cost, which makes length a billing decision at the moment of generation rather than something trimmed later. Five seconds and ten seconds are the standard steps; Pikaframes extends to 20 to 25 seconds and is priced in its own row.

Against the YouTube formats this shapes the work sharply at one end and awkwardly at the other. A bumper is a single five second generation, which is the cleanest match in this register. A 60 second non-skippable is six or more pieces on the standard steps, and every join is a continuity problem between separately generated shots.

Fig. 6 Durations and resolutions appear in the feature tables under the plans rather than in a specification document.Screenshot of pika.art/pricing, captured 2026-09-16. Reproduced to show where this entry was read from.

3No aspect ratio on the priced page

Resolutions are published at 480p, 720p and 1080p because each is priced. Aspect ratio is not on the same page, so the Masthead row here is recorded as not stated: the format is explicitly 16:9 and the vendor does not say on this page whether that shape is available.

That is a gap in the published material rather than a claim about the product, and it is the same gap that appears on most vendor pricing pages in this register.
