Two entries at a time, on one column each

A pair earns a page when two entries in this register publish figures in the same column that are an order of magnitude apart, or that are different kinds of statement. Pairs that agree are left as two rows in a table. As of 2026-09-12.

Fig. 1 The filter is the point: pairs that agree are two rows in a table and nothing more.

The temptation with a fifteen-entry register is to write every pairing, which would be a hundred and five pages saying almost nothing. What makes a pair worth reading is a disagreement a buyer would act on: a length three hundred times longer, a shape list four times longer, two conditions pointing opposite ways.

Each page names the column it is comparing and keeps the other columns out of it. A pair on length says nothing about which entry is better, because the entries are usually answering different briefs, and the point is to show what the shared unit hides.

Every figure on these pages is the same figure that sits in the register, read from the same vendor page on the same date. Nothing is averaged, nothing is converted, and where one side of a pair publishes nothing the silence is the comparison.

1The pairs

  • CogVideoX and HeyGen — Six seconds fixed against thirty minutes per scene.
  • Wan 3.0 and Veo — Any whole value from two to thirty seconds against four, six or eight with conditions.
  • Nova Reel and Runway — Two minutes of picture in one request, already cut into six second beats, against four continuous requests an editor joins by hand.
  • CogVideoX and Kling AI — 720 by 480 with other sizes refused, against a ladder reaching 4K.
  • HeyGen and Veo — Any dimension between 128 and 4,096 pixels against three named steps, two of which fix the length.
  • Hedra and HeyGen on shape — Both animate a performance and both publish their shapes.
  • Runway and MiniMax — Seven exact pixel pairs against six named ratios.
  • Wan 3.0 and MiniMax — Two pages publish an identical list of six ratios.
  • Grok Imagine and Pika — Any whole second from one to fifteen against five and ten as billed steps.
  • LTX-Video and Wan 3.0 — A frame ceiling with a divisibility rule against an integer range in seconds.
  • Runway and HeyGen on files — Five to two hundred megabytes depending on how a file arrives, against thirty-two to a hundred depending on what it is.
  • CogVideoX and LTX-Video — Two open-weight model cards publish a frame rate and disagree by nearly four times, in a column twelve other entries leave empty.
  • LTX-Video and PixVerse — A single 1216x704 output with a divisibility rule against 360p to 1080p.
  • Hedra and HeyGen on length — Both publish a length in minutes and only one publishes how many of them one job carries.
  • Nova Reel and Grok Imagine — One resolution and no alternatives against three rungs with the cheapest stated as the fallback.
  • Veo and Grok Imagine — Both name widescreen as the fallback.
  • Veo and PixVerse — One page needs a high tier to reach its longest run.
  • Kling AI and Vidu — Both price resolutions and neither states a duration.
  • Pika and SceneMixer — A separately priced mode reaching twenty-five seconds against a composite billed per second of output.
  • MiniMax H3 and H3-Max — Four to fifteen seconds and 2K on one model, five to fifteen and 480P on the other.
  • Runway and SceneMixer — Per second of output on both, which makes the duration field the invoice.
  • Veo and Wan 3.0 on retention — Stored for two days and then removed, against a URL valid for twenty-four hours.
  • Nova Reel and CogVideoX — Both pages publish six seconds.
  • HeyGen and Runway on size — Both publish pixels rather than tier names, and their ceilings differ by more than two and a half times.
  • TikTok and YouTube — TikTok publishes shapes, pixel floors, a size cap and a bitrate floor, while YouTube publishes durations and what counts as a paid view.
  • Hedra and Wan 3.0 — Ten minutes governed by a supplied audio track against two to thirty whole seconds governed by a request field.

Where two entries publish the same kind of figure and agree about it, there is no page here and the table is the record.
