Generators emit in steps, and placements expect spans
Pika documents 5 and 10 second generations. SceneMixer documents 30 seconds for Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5 jobs and 15 for Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3 jobs, with episodes composited from segments and billed per second. A bumper needs between 5 and 6. As of 2026-10-13.
| Item | What is published | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Pika | 5 and 10 seconds, priced per step | One step lands in bumper |
| SceneMixer, Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5 tiers | 30 seconds, longest single generation | Composite for anything longer |
| SceneMixer, Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3 tiers | 15 seconds | Same composite route |
| Bumper requirement | Between 5 and 6 seconds | The narrowest target on the sheet |
Inclusion rule. Generation lengths are taken from the vendor's own documentation and recorded per tier where the vendor states them per tier. Composite lengths are recorded separately from single generations, because they are billed differently. Order. By how many placements on this sheet the emitted length can serve.
1A step list is not a range
If a tool emits 5 or 10 seconds and nothing between, then every placement window that does not contain one of those numbers needs an edit afterwards. That edit is where the extra cost hides: not in the generation, in the trimming and the retiming and the second pass on audio.
A planner reading only the maximum would conclude that a 10-second tool covers a 6-second window comfortably. It covers it by throwing away four seconds that were paid for.
2Composites move the ceiling but change the unit
Where a vendor documents assembling an episode from segments, the practical maximum stops being a property of the model and becomes a property of the budget. Per-second billing means length is priced linearly and the question shifts from can it to how much.
For advertising that matters less than it does for drama, because almost every placement here is under a minute. The composite route is worth recording anyway, since it is the answer to the only format on this sheet that permits ten minutes.
3Match the tightest window first
The practical order is to find the narrowest placement in the campaign, check whether any generation setting lands inside it, and only then look at resolution and file size. Doing it the other way round produces a beautiful 1080p file that is half a second too long for the one format the campaign was bought for.
That ordering is the whole reason this sheet keeps duration in front of resolution.
