Making a non-skippable in-stream ad with generated video
A non-skippable in-stream ad is 60 seconds or shorter and is charged on impressions. Three of the 15 tools here publish a single call that long: two drive a performance from audio, and the third cuts a two-minute request into six-second beats. The other scene generators need between two and ten calls and a join at every seam. As of 2026-10-13.
| Tool | Generations needed | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Nova Reel | One request of ten shots | Two minutes is the published ceiling |
| Hedra | One generation | Ten minutes, driven by the audio track |
| HeyGen | One scene | Thirty minutes per scene |
| Wan 3.0 | Two generations | Thirty seconds is the ceiling |
| SceneMixer | Two generations plus a composite | 30 s a tier, composite billed per second |
| Grok Imagine | Four generations | Fifteen seconds is the top of the range |
| MiniMax | Four generations | Fifteen seconds on both models |
| PixVerse | Four generations | Fifteen seconds on version 6 |
| Runway | Four generations | Fifteen seconds on Gen-4.5 |
| Pika | Six or more generations | 10 s standard step, 20-25 s on Pikaframes |
| LTX-Video | Seven generations | Worked from the frame guide, not a stated length |
| Google Veo | Eight generations | Eight seconds, and only above 720p |
| CogVideoX | Ten generations | Six seconds fixed, so the count is exact |
| Kling AI | Not stated | No duration published on the price page |
| Vidu | Not stated | No duration published on the price page |
Inclusion rule. Every tool in this register, matched only against a length its own pages state. A vendor that publishes no length is recorded as not stated rather than estimated from a demonstration. Order. Fewest calls first; the two tools that publish no length last.
1Sixty seconds splits the register by what a tool generates
Apart from Amazon Nova Reel, which makes its own cuts, the longest single call among the tools that generate a scene from a prompt is 30 seconds, on Wan 3.0 and on the SceneMixer tiers that run on it, so for those rows this format is the point where generated advertising stops being one call and becomes an edit. The questions become whether the pieces match, whether the cast holds its appearance across them, and who pays for the joining step.
Three rows do not have that problem. HeyGen publishes thirty minutes per scene, Hedra ten minutes, and Amazon Nova Reel two minutes in six second increments inside one request. The first two drive a performance from an audio track, which is why length is governed by how long a speaker keeps talking rather than by how long a model can hold a scene together, and the third makes the cuts itself rather than handing them to an editor.
2Impression billing removes the usual escape
On a skippable placement a long ad is partly self-limiting, because the viewers who leave leave early. Here the whole length is delivered and charged on impressions, so every second of a join that does not match is a second the buyer paid to show. That raises the cost of a visible seam from an aesthetic problem to a billed one.
This register does not judge whether any tool's joins are visible. It records how many pieces the published limits imply, which is the number that decides how many seams exist at all.
